About Us

The Movie Screeners Club is a monthly short film festival and podcast dedicated to showcasing independent filmmakers. We provide a welcoming space for creators to share their work, connect with peers, and celebrate storytelling.

Our screenings take place on the third Thursday of each month at Gardena Cinema, a historic 800-seat venue in Los Angeles. Selected filmmakers get the rare opportunity to screen their work in a theatrical setting, gain exposure, and engage with a live audience.

Each screening includes a Q&A session where featured filmmakers discuss their creative process, challenges, and inspirations. The audience then votes for their favorite films, and the Audience Choice Award winner secures a place in our Official Selection for the year-end festival.

The festival is more than just a screening! It’s a community. After the films and Q&A, we host a social mixer where filmmakers and audiences can connect, network, and collaborate in a welcoming environment.

In addition to screenings, our podcast series features interviews with Audience Choice Award winners, exploring their creative journeys and the stories behind their winning films from our monthly screenings.
